Who ensures the board is doing its work?  Our recommendation is that organizations utilized a “governance committee” or “organizational development committee.”  This group of three to five members (not the executive committee) is responsible for ongoing review and recommendations to enhance the quality and future viability of the board of directors.  The work of the committee revolves around five major areas.
