Board responsibilities are defined in multiple ways and from different perspectives.  We’ve found that they can all be boiled down to five key statements that capture all of the varying responsibilities that a nonprofit board of directors holds.  The brevity of these five statements allow a board to refer to them in the various decisions they need to make and in some instances commit them to memory.
